Fury Models

It's been a while since I've posted. I'm currently crafting x-mas gifts and working on projects in between. This happens to be an in between project I got from pinterest. Although, I don't condone dressing up pets, I do like accents. I feel it's more acceptable than an entire ensamble. Some people take dressing up their dogs a bit too far. Dont even get me started on the dog strollers/carriers, sheesh! Anyway, I've sewn a couple dog scarves in the past and I really like them. They make great gifts for dog lovers and it's really fun to have them double sided with different print so it can be switched up :) This time I decided a bow tie was more dabinar than a scarf for my old man puppy. Plus Bear has received some flak from the men in the past for wearing a scarf so I switched it up (people are so mean lol) For my first one, it came out perfect and it can be flipped for a different pattern! I'm very happy with it, plus it's thanksgiving themed. How fun! I made Charlotte's scarf to match (the other side is paw prints). It's not girly, but I've got some girly stuff in the works for her collar She actually likes wearing a scarf believe it or not, she gets excited. It's weird. However, bear takes more convincing, but hes used to it :) He's a really great sport, lets me put anything on him and just takes it like a champ. I can see lots of festive accents for my pups in the future :) Hope you've enjoyed this little project of mine. As always more to come and thanks for stopping by!

T-shirt Fun!

So this unique project I ended up finding on Pinterest (of course) and I just had to try it because I thought it was pretty amazing. It's a rug made from old T-shirts. How crazy right? Although I cannot take credit for coming up with this, I commend the unique person who did (tipping my hat to you mystery person). It is time consuming, but easy peasy for sure. You will love it if you like to sew (I only like easy sewing lol). All you do is cut some old t-shirts into one continuous strip (directions on pinterest) then braid 3 colors together, and lastly sew them in the shape you want (I chose oval). It really is so simple!! The braiding is the worst part only because the strips are so long they get tangled super easy...I started this out with certain colors in mind and decided to add whatever color I could find because I ran out of shirts really fast. So it's not the prettiest, but it's a fuctionable conversation piece for sure! I loved this project so much I decided to go big LOL soooo I'm still not finished. It's a little bigger than the pictures show now, but I def. have a ways to go. The other cool thing is you can even do this with old jeans and kids clothes for the parents who just can't let go (you know who you are haha). However, jeans is a different process. I love easy creative projects like this and am always looking for more. So if you have any, let me know. As always thanks for stopping by and spending time on my page :)

Shadow Box Memories

It was Hopes (another bestie) Surprise 40th and we went all out with the food, the cake, and a candy table :) So I took pieces of everything from the napkins to the cake toppers and made her a shadow box keep sake. It's 3-D scrap booking fun and she loved it. Now she'll be able to share the memories with those that couldn't make it and cherish the ones who could. These types of projects are time consuming with all the cutting and placement and gluing, but so totally worth the out come :)

The best Art is the kind you can eat :)

HELLO Kitty cake for my bff's wedding shower and 275 cupcakes for her Rockabilly themed wedding. So many cupcakes!!! We had tye dye, sundae topped with a cherry, marshmallow, brownie, raspberry cheesecake, blueberry cheesecake, lemon flavored, coconut and many many more! I also never want to bake that many again LOL. I didn't eat cake so long after that! Hahahaa. My Mom is a cake genius, but I'm close behind in cupcakes :) For the cake, I free handed the HELLO Kitties to match the style of my friend and her hubby for the wedding. Then my Mom took it to make an edible cake topper and voila! Yummy Art :)

Surprise 70th!!!

I think the title is pretty self explanatory so the only thing I can say is yes the wine glass says, "Happy Birtday." Also, yes I did correct the spelling lol which I rarely have to do when I paint because I am usually so VERY careful. Needless to say this is by far one of my favorite painted glass pieces that I've done. Customizing just one glass instead of doing a whole set is always much more fun to me. Personalization speaks to the heart and putting all my energy into one unique piece is so much more satisfying....Hope you enjoyed this, thanks for stopping by. If there is ever anything you'd like me to attempt feel free to leave a comment or a post. I will attempt it until I'm blue in the face :)

Because HAIR is ART Too

A huge part of having a creative mind for me is to have fun with my hair too. Anybody who knows me well knows my hair is NEVER the same style or color fpr more than a year. Art is everything and everything is art. So I'm always looking to funk up my style just a little bit more and this was a pinterest must DOO for a night out with the girls. I've tried a french braid mohawk a few times, but I think I finally got it right this time :) Now normally I wouldn't post something like this but I couldn't go anywhere Saturday night without being stopped by someone complimenting how much they LOVED it. So why not share it? If you can tease your hair and french braid it, all it takes is practice :)

Little Big Fan

Carmelina loved her custom painting for her bedroom. This was the first piece I have done that I have not given to family :) The finished product is not how I imagined it, but I will never complain when there is happy happy customer, as an artist I will always be critical of my work. Some things will never change I guess...

Fit For A Princess

Made this painting for a friend's daughter for her princess themed room. I was supposed to be done a looooong time ago but couldn't find the motivation and didn't like how it was coming along, so I painted over what I started and reworked it. The 2nd idea came out much better and the pictures don't do it justice, it looks much better in person. All of the prints in her room are in the painting, which makes it unique to her. They loved it and that's all that matters. I will post better pictures of it soon, just wanted to get it out there. Hope you enjoy. More projects to come :)

More Coasters :)

These are the other two sets I made. Oldsmobile for my other brother and all four great grandchildren for my grandma :) FYI these are not finished, only cut out and placed, but this is what they look like. I always forget to take a picture once I finish a project LOL...I love this craft project because it's literally dirt cheap and so easy to do. Not only that but it's something your loved one will have forever, made from your ♡
