Duck....Duck....TAPE!

For sooooo long, I was OBSESSED with duct tape creations! I made several for friends and haven't done one in a loooong time. It's sticky (obviously), a LOT of measuring and remeasuring, and definitely time consuming (especially Hello Kitty) because I had to watch so many you tube videos LOL. Overall I'm pleased with the ones I've made :) I cannot tell you how people do prom dresses out of duct tape for contests, I feel like it would take months! It's fun, and I tried it  so I'm good with that. My friend has had hers a few years, the flower did fall off, but it's still completely in tact, which surprises me. Women put their wallets through a lot LOL.  The best part about this was learning to make flowers and bows. So cute and fun, some girls in the videos were making them as hair accessories! How creative! I made each one with pockets for cards, full sleeves for money, and even a clear window for the License. So they are FULLY functional wallets and when you get a chance please you tube some other peoples duct tape creations, they get pretty wild :)

Mmm mmm More Yummy Art

More edible art cupcakes :) These were just one of the many done for a tea party themed bridal shower. My mom is really the mastermind behind a lot of the baking I do. I started helping her and I've learned to do it on my own now. So this is one of her creations, I just helped to pretty it up with the tye dye effect :) The chocolate butterflies were surprisingly easy and one of my favorites to do. Although, time consuming these were a crowd pleaser. Wish I had a better picture, thanks for stopping by :)

Bridesmaids Charicatures on Wine Glasses

I thought I shared this already (excuse the background, I apparently didn't take any other pictures), guess not. These were done for my best friend's wedding (I believe I posted the giant wine glass I did for the bride already), one for each girl that stood up, and each with their name painted on the base of the stem. These were my very FIRST go at painting wine glasses and took 3 hours each! It's very time consuming, especially when the paint is thin and 3-4 coats need to be done. These are now 3 years old and mine has not chipped AT ALL. Not bad for my first attempt :) Of course I don't use it, I display it. However, each glass I do is dishwasher safe, but I recommend  hand washing still because it will most definitely last longer.

Chirp! Chirp! ....another hand painted Wine Glass.

Sold this set shortly after completing them :) This set was so much fun to do and one of my favorite pieces painted so far. Each glass has a different bird with little details (Don't ask me what kind of bird, I only know the Robin. I just googled images and try to paint the one I thought were pretty). Snow covered branches are always so serene to me, adding a bird was just a nice personal touch. I would love to do a set like this again. Stemless glasses are just as elegant as stemmed glasses :)
